Michael Justin Lee of the rock duo Solemn Pledge, boldly ventures into fighting the evil of child trafficking by founding a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding the most modern technology for rescue operations.

New York, NY —Michael Justin Lee, the founder of the rock duo Solemn Pledge as well as a veteran Chartered Financial Analyst and former professor of Finance, has veered into an important new direction.

Without discontinuing his music making with Solemn Pledge, he has founded “Angels in Absentia,” a Federal 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to raising awareness of the evil of global child trafficking and combating the traffickers. Based near Washington, DC, Angels in Absentia will partner with major rescue organizations and fund their work.

Today marks the launch of the organization as well as the release of the charity’s theme song, also named “Angels in Absentia.” This song and its accompanying music video are streaming on all the world’s platforms. It is a musical prayer of hope and gently tells the tragic story of global child sex trafficking.

Despite her age and having had no military training, she became one of France’s greatest military heroes. Her eventual capture and martyrdom has made her a hero of the global feminist movement and a symbol of freedom and independence. An eclectic singer-songwriter, Katrice Cornett remains inspired and driven to spread the light of the Lord with the masses, spurring tangible change through emotion-fueled compositions.

From the young age of 4, Katrice Cornett discovered her emerging talent, which was revealed in front of the world when she sang “Oh Happy Day” by Edwin Hawkins under the guidance of her father, the late Donald W.T. Cary.

As her father began to help hone and elevate her vocal capabilities, Katrice became more comfortable to succor those around her through her talents. Ogdakween recently released a single honoring her would be son in law (until he passed away) in a car wreck. After attending his funeral, it was by Divine order and guidance that the song (So Deep ) was created (Title, Lyrics, Concept, Message, etc), and then ultimately she was led (told) to donate the proceeds to the children whom survived his death.

The full length album entitled, “Time Thief” is now available exclusively at Angie Haze concerts. The album is not streaming on any platform. After an incredible amount of work and study, the band decided that this collection was special and deserved exclusivity. Before its release, “Time Thief” won the LIT Talent Gold Award for Best Album. Competition Judge, An Vedi, posted a comment stating “it was one of the best contemporary albums I’ve ever listened to.” Following the success of the release, Angie Haze signed a record deal with FBP Music Group.

Brazz Ankh is a music producer, composer and DJ based in London UK.

She learnt to play the piano at 12 years old but was not really involved into real music making process until 2005 – gospel song “Nzambe Ke Kuna” was written though – meaning ‘God is There’ in kikongo her African language and the first version of the afro-house track “Jack The System” (currently in the album Positive Lockdown). However the two first singles were released only in 2018 including the afro-house track Nzambe Ke Kuna (Wakanda Mix) inspired by the movie Black Panthers and “C’est ça La France” – powerful Marseillaise on French diversity and assets.

Then instrumental and sound cocktail EP Metamorphisis was released in 2019 followed in 2020 by “Positive Lockdown” album “a love declaration to the diversity of music and positive vibes.” thanks to talented artists , determination and a zest of social distancing!

Last but not least, Brazz Ankh both finishes 2022 and begins 2023 with The Return of Ankh – where she shares her love for alternative music and her roots – released in July 2022 with additional tracks for 2023.

ViolinGrrl plays several musical instruments, but at the early age of 3, she saw Itzhak Perlman play violin on Sesame Street, and that’s when she fell in love with the instrument that would become her lifelong pursuit. Since then she has had many years of formal training in classical and jazz techniques. She plays music both by sight and by ear and is able to create spontaneous solos as well as accompaniments to artists she plays with.

John Conway is an entrepreneur, visionary, musician, and technical strategist. Named as one of the top global technology and security architects in the world, John wasn’t always in IT. In his early years, John toured with various groups and bands delivering lead vocals, playing keys, clarinet, and sax. He currently owns various technology companies while keeping himself rooted in music with his partner ViolinGrrl producing music and touring.

Kristen Annese-Lawrenson is an American actess, professional ballroom dancer, and talented vocalist. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and was recently credited in the Showtime Series, Dexter:New Blood, playing the role of Shawna. Kristen has a beautiful and powerfull voice with a broad range. She lives in the Boston area with her husband Corey.

‘Eastern Eye’ (England): ‘As a Hippie Artist, my Goal is to help Build a Better World’

‘Dil Mi Ravad’ (Persian, for ‘My Heart is Out of my Hand’) is a bilingual song, with a Flamenco/M. Eastern/Orchestral mix of music arrangements, with splashes of S. Asian Tabla in parts.

The Persian lyric has been written by the late Persian Sufi saint, Hafez Shirazi: This lyric speaks about helplessness (of losing one’s heart: a metaphor for loss of control that is accompanied by an awakening of the human consciousness), of surrender (as a coping mechanism to this loss of control; hence also a lesson in ego-surrender: the first step towards liberation & enlightenment). It is also a statement against establishment forces that rob a person of their choice, of their soul, for their own agendas: be it religious or political establishment.

The English spoken word lyric in the bridge of the song, just before the Flamenco-Tabla outro, speaks of the same: death of the self, giving way to a newer, liberated self.

Music written & track produced by Maham during her time in Spain, the musicians make up an international band, most of these being from various tiers from thee Berklee College of Music (Valencia, Spain): faculty, alumni and the most recent batch including Maham and Julia (Violin).

The instrumental lineup consists of Flamenco Guitar, Oud, Violin, Soprano Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flamenco & M. Eastern percussions, Piano, Vocals and Tabla.

Sonia Marie Kazarova is Grammy Nominated Artist, Country Opera Singer Songwriter, Actress, and Philanthropist. This music is a reflection of the social-good goals of these singers who work tumultuously to highlight the plight of those that are most affected by the oppressive regimes that they live in. This Punk trio believes that Paxton Smith’s valedictorian speech shed light on the issue of abortion and in doing so also illuminated the larger question around bodily autonomy. With the recent onslaught against abortion by pro-lifers, there is a renewed debate on the ethics of abortion. For Modern Natives, the debate seems to be tilted in one favor and as more states join into the tussle the band believes that it’s important to use music as a mode of emotive expression.

“This Belongs To Me” is a novel single that soldiers against the regressive politics that has taken hold of American society. Taking away the right to abortion essentially means that you take away multiple freedoms and create barriers to safe healthcare. Additionally, the eclectic artists know that people would continue to seek abortions either way; it’s just that those methods would lead to many more complications. In this sense, this single is similar to “Holes and Joes” which attempts to use catchy tunes and deep lyrics as a means of knocking some sense into the minds of those that support this right with finality.

It is this music that makes listeners excited, pumped, and empowered in a way never seen before. The talented artists are preparing to go on tour to support their latest releases starting in late August 2022. The tour’s first leg is through Canada, down the West Coast, and across the Southern US.
