Dizzy has been working in the Third Stream Music Genre for some time. Third Stream is the combining of jazz and rock music idioms, producing a new and never before heard musical sound. Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand —Dunedin five-piece band IVY is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated single, “Real Love”.

“Real Love” is an unfolding story about a musician’s spiral into drug addiction and their confronting realization about their circumstances. The song is an allegory of the trappings of fame and fortune; often seen as unlimited, easy access to anything, no matter how harmful and destructive it may be.

The song stands out for its narrative approach. Lead singer Jesse Hanan shares, “The song isn’t auto biographical as I really wanted it to be a story rather than a confession. It was conceived when things were going well for me, and I felt I needed a subject and lyrics that would fit the drama and growing intensity of the music.”

“Real Love” continues to show IVY’s willingness to confront and shed light on societal issues following Heartless which raised the issue of domestic abuse. “Real Love” provides commentary on the need for, and commonly lacking, support and empathy in society when an outwardly successful person struggles with addiction or other mental health challenges.

A rock song at its foundation, “Real Love” also draws inspiration from the emotive and powerful works of RnB legends such as Sade and Seal. Hanan elaborates “I found the way Sade’s lyricism and melody portray emotion to be unique, and I wanted to try to emulate that whilst staying true to our own sound. Real Love, to us, felt like a step in the right direction in terms of being still musically creative yet mature and cohesive.”

The song was recorded and produced at Sublime Studios in Kurow, New Zealand. This was part of IVY’s prize for winning the 2023 Bring the Noise Competition run by Radio One 91FM and OUSA.
A further single, produced at Sublime Studios, is planned to be released around the end of August 2024.
Real Love is IVY’s fifth release, following on from Stranger (Sept 22), For the Sake of It – 5 track EP (Feb 2023), Heartless (May 2023) and North End (Dec 2023)

Kiril Peltekov Stamely was always energized to pursue his musical journey. As a budding young artist, Stamely attended solfeggio lessons and acted in DK Iskar. As a Forte guitarist, vocalist, and band leader, Kiril has worked in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Greenland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria for over 40 years. He has 23 innovations in his 23 unique Stamely ‘author guitars. From 2013 until 2017, Kiril Peltekov served as the Chairman of the Guild of Musical Artists at the Union of Bulgarian Artists and was also nominated by GMA at the IKAR AWARDS 2014 at UBA – for Contemporary BG Music for his instrumental play ʼGuitarissimo’. The artist also received an award at IKAR AWARDS 2019 for his author composition “Dignity”.

In 1992, he set up his Stamely Groove Sound studio, recording his albums: “Improvising Styles” in 1993, “Beyond Fingers” in 1994, the multimedia CD and album “Collection” in 2000, the concert “Live With Friends” in 2009 along with the participation of Vasil Petrov, Maria Ilieva, Amalia, Forte, and others. The same was released on Blu-ray, DVD, CD, and CD-DTS-5.1. His new album “Stamely Sings” was released at 15.04.2022. Kiril Peltekov Stamely released three singles in 2023: ‘Inspiraton Smoot’, ‘Dignity’ and ‘Fly GoGo Fly’ .

Chris Birkett is an award-winning record producer, instrumentalist, composer, and sound engineer. His career began as a guitarist in the 1970s, playing in London clubs before touring with Memphis artists Rufus Thomas, Ann Peebles, and King Floyd. At 23, Chris performed with the Pop group Love Affair, whose song “Everlasting Love” ruled the UK charts. He later joined the band Omaha Sheriff who had just signed a major recording deal with Tony Visconti, manager of Good Earth Records and producer for David Bowie and the Moody Blues. With Tony as a mentor, Chris expanded his career to include producing, engineering, and mixing the many UK and international hits, including Sinead O’Connor’s #1 song “Nothing Compares 2 U”. His single “Where Do We Go From Here?” was picked by Ed Bicknell (Dire Straits’ manager) to play alongside U2, Peter Gabriel, Bob Marley, Tears for Fears, and other icons. His name is on over 100 million records sold and has earned innumerable awards and accolades.

Shari Tallon is a flutist, pianist, composer, singer/songwriter, recording artist, performer, and music educator. She has been composing and performing on an online Sunday Serenade with thousands of views each week as she performs original classical/blues fusion piano pieces, rock ‘n blues flute, and sultry vocals. She has released 12 albums for educational markets, receiving rave reviews from the School Library Journal in New York City and selling her music worldwide, touring and creating music programs for children, schools, and ECE college students. She began playing and collaborating with Chris in 2015, writing songs, and performing, and released their debut album ‘11:11’ in 2019.

Iñaki Espartza is a prolific and talented composer in the Enbor Arnasa musical collective. Enbor Arnasa is an up-and-coming music project that began in Biscay in 2019 and has ever since continued to enthrall and inspire audiences. Espartza himself started his musical journey when he was very young, inspired to pursue his own artistic sensibilities.

Currently, the rising artist plays guitar, drums and percussion and has been creating music in Enbor Arnasa since 2019. A dentist who never let go of his love for music; Aldo is a source of inspiration for millions around the world

Denver, CO — Aldo Leopardi is the next big name in progressive rock music. From the age of ten, Aldo Leopardi knew in his soul that he wanted to be a musician. All it took was seeing AC/DC’s “Jail Break” on the television and he was hooked. Musically, Aldo’s early influences also included KISS, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, David Bowie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, whom he idolized and who served as an early inspiration to follow the calling of Rock. Raised by his mother in Adelaide, Australia, learning to play guitar was not going to be easy, but Aldo learned early in life to never turn away from a difficult task. His mother made him a deal; do all the research and find a suitable guitar teacher and she would support him. This was the first step toward the realization of Leopardi’s musical dream and he hasn’t looked back since.

In his teenage years, Aldo was playing gigs all around Australia, and was soon producing and recording his music as well. Simultaneously, Aldo was a bright student in Dental School, where he would occupy the back benches rebelliously, all while sporting a jet black AC/DC muscle T-shirt, a ruffled hairstyle, and an ear ring. Aldo always had a plan; quit dentistry, go to Los Angeles and play music. He recognized, however, that the music industry stacked the odds against the artist. It would be a very difficult undertaking, but Aldo was not to be deterred. He made himself a personal promise to increase his odds, financially and creatively, and take control of his musical destiny. Not only was this decision a proof of wisdom at an early age, it also shows the lengths Aldo was willing to go to manifest his musical dream.

It took Aldo three years to record his self-titled album (2006 release), with every spare moment spent in the studio where he wrote, arranged, sang, performed and produced. Using his own highly precise management skills and unwavering tenacity, Aldo was now doing music on his terms with the start of his own record label, Backslash Records. Along with producer Mike Vargas and director Jordan Horowitz (MTV’s Viva La Bam and Newlyweds), he shot the music video for his song “Always Be”. Aldo Leopardi’s plan had come to fruition. He was living his dream; recording music, performing elaborate live productions and even creating a high caliber music video. Simultaneously, Aldo was touring the U.S. as a much sought-after speaker in field of complex aesthetic and implant Dentistry.

March 17, 2016 marked Aldo’s return with his 3rd release, “VICE”. He re-united with “Villains and Heroes” producer Lee Miles, and co-collaborator Aaron Lane, to write and record this record. This five song EP continues to showcase Aldo’s maturity as a song writer and singer, with a focus on Adult themes
