Sparkbass: A New Original EDM Producer With An Addictive Video Game Aesthetic

Katy, Texas — Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 — Childhood videogames make an enormous impact on the new EDM artist, Sparkbass, who recently dropped his single Groovebot on Spotify and Soundcloud. Starting off as a traditional artist and pianist, Sparkbass was not aware about the world of music, until around age 16 where he began productions in his bedroom on FL Studio. Now, with fresh sounds to offer the world, Sparkbass makes his grand opening this year on all platforms!

The upbeat, fast-paced rhythms found within Sparkbass’s tracks are a driving motivator while producing his EDM. Currently, he has explored Dubstep, Dance, Future Bass, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Drum and Bass, though the latter is one of his most produced genres. This is a call back to his nostalgia for Sonic the Hedgehog as well as his appreciation for a UK based artist named Fox Stevenson. Since 2016, Jeremiah has been obsessed with making people’s heads blast off, sometimes going as far as to making his sound more space themed.

Nintendo reaches far, so to entirely describe his sound, one should listen to music soundtracks from games such as Sonic Rush, Pokémon Black, and Mario 64. As a kid, Jeremiah was really into drawing and animating said characters, and would soon start up a DeviantArt account that would reach over 19,000 page views under the alias “Exleydragon”. After a decade of art, he found an attraction to the melodies that accommodated these games, thus luring him to his very own Casio piano. From there he wrote his own original melodies, which can be heard in a lot of his new music.

Evolving his sound is one of his greatest goals. In recent days, he has focused himself on building his own home recording studio, investing solely on his craft and equipment. Currently he is pursuing an audio engineering certificate at the Houston Community College, but he continues to grind at home on his own projects. Sparkbass is an artist who makes music not just for himself, but for the whole party, always keeping true to his signature groovy style.

Sparkbass is a new EDM artist who incorporates years of Nintendo influence into his music. Inspired by games such as Mario and Sonic, he began his journey as a traditional artist, and is currently uploading digital art to his second Instagram account named “Sparkbassart”. After some years of practicing piano, he moved over to production in FL Studio around the age of 16 where he published a lot of his work on to what is now seen as his hip-hop, Jazz, and Trap Soundcloud account, MandarinDragon. Sparkbass continues to pursue music, not just in his own home studio production, but at the Houston Community College for a certificate in Audio Engineering.

Durham, North Carolina – November 29, 2020 – A rising star and prodigy, ISO Beatz has already released more than ten songs at the age of 16 and is making his way into the music industry with his high energy and versatile music. The gifted artist started his career by making beats on his phone. Since then, he has been unstoppable. Tell us about yourself and your music

Hi, my name is Norman Yourell and I also go under the band name of Audiovendor, who are an electro-pop studio band based in London, England.
I’m the songwriter and lead vocalist, as well as sequence programmer, producer, arranger and play keyboards too.
We write original songs with a retro feel, all produced with modern contemporary sounds and beats using synthesizers.

Talk to us more about your latest release

The first track “Superhuman” originally released in 2016 is from the first album entitled Retro Radio released on June 12th which was recorded, mixed and produced in both Fluke Productions Studios (Luke Henderson) and Abbey Road Studios London (Alex Wharton).

What inspired you to write this release?

I think my love of electro and disco fused together was my big inspiration for this one?

I’m a big fan of Giorgio Moroder so using a ‘phased’ staccato-style programmed baseline to build the track around was the first idea, followed by overlayed strings.

The backing vocal was supposed to be choral as the idea of the song being called ‘Superhuman’ was larger than life.

The rapped verse of Lemoy the Siamese Empress (of whom I got to write for and record with me) lends a female identity to the main vocalist’s counterpart, even though I tend to write my lyrics from a universal, asexual point of view.

Describe the writing and recording process

I tend to do a lot of pre-planning when it comes to recording in the studio with the writing and programming previously completed.

This gives me more time to choose what modern and contemporary sounds to allocate to the sequences.

I like to begin with using my Roland XP-50 to sequence all the parts.

Then using old-school procedures I play the live parts in and ether program straight to the computer or put it on floppy disc from the keyboard via a separate module.

After that I transfer it to a USB stick and take it in to the studio.
This gives me more time to concentrate on re-recording any live piano/keyboard parts and on the vocal parts too.

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

In previous bands I would gig with backing tracks only, choosing which pre-mixed versions of the songs to use so that live instruments could be played along with the Tascam reel to reel.
As my first ‘Audiovendor’ album ‘Retro Radio’ has just been released I plan on concentrating on the promotion before any live work for the moment.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

I think the style of music I tend to write songs for although electronic, are written with distinctive melodies and song structures in mind?

Electro-pop covers a lot of ground when it comes to the production of a song for me so although contemporary sounds are used, the actual construction of the writing lends itself to a retro feel?

Couple that with using a lot of orchestral parts and it sounds different from most music out there.

Who have you been listening to lately?

I recently have been listening to the remixes of the band the Freemasons which I quite like.

Who are your biggest influences?

I’m influenced by anything and everything that has a classic pop-song structure, whether it be from the ‘60s through to the ‘00s and beyond.

Even more recently, I have been re-listening to bands like the Human League, Vince Clarke, Soft Cell, A-ha and Pet Shop Boys.

One of the songs on the album was written as a James Bond theme and although I like to listen to film soundtracks it was the most different song I’d ever done.

Tell us about your passions

My musical passions aside from electro or synth-pop would be disco, eg: anything by Chic, Abba or the Bee Gees.

What else is happening next in your world?

I’ve already begun the initial stages of writing the next album.
The direction this album may take is yet undecided and will be dependant on the choosing of the tracks?
More than likely it will be a bit more eclectic than the last.

Tell us about yourself and your music

John Bosco is my real name and my artist’s name. Born in West Africa Ghana, that’s where my passion for music started. Grew up listening to hip pop, Afrobeats and grime music. Moved to Chicago in my teens and decided to take music serious in my early 20’s. I wanted to stand out as an artist cause the industry is flooded with lotta musicians so the best and original way I could do that is influencing my music with a few genres I grew up listening to which is Afrobeats and grime.

Talk to us more about your latest release

My latest song “lie to me” was written after I tried a couple of times to get my ex-girl back. In a very long time, I never felt for a girl as much as I did for this ex-girl. And the best way I could let it out of my soul was making a song about it. Do people keep asking “ did she lie to you”? No, she didn’t she lie to me literally but my the whole vibe and connection we had lied to me.

What inspired you to write this release?

I was inspired to write this song because that was the final way I could emotionally let everything out of me. Anything that really hits me emotionally has to come out as a song. This song was also inspired by the combination of African Afrobeats and American pop culture that’s why I had an r&b singer as a feature to help diversify it.

Describe the writing and recording process

The writing and recording process of this song was easy. I didn’t do too much thinking, my emotions lead me throughout the entire process because at that point I still had a feeling for my ex I had to pour it all out through this song. I still tried to keep this song less personal and make it sound a little more mainstream.

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

Next year I definitely want to hit the road and connect with my fans but first need to find the right manager to work with. Not exactly sure what months or time of the year but I’ll keep my fans posted ones I get everything figured out.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

People like different and that’s exactly who I am. So I don’t really have to try and stand out I just have to do me. My sound, my fashion, and culture are all different from what people here are used to so I just have to keep doing me and I’ll automatically stand out,

Who have you been listening to lately?

A lot of Afrobeats and American artists like kid ink, the weekend fabulous and also British rappers like skepta and stormzy.

My biggest influence is Davido from Nigeria

In next my world I’m setting up my own record label and signing artists with talent but no funds to proceed on their dreams. There’s a lot of artists out there with phenomenal talent but no funds to work on it and I can’t wait to help them.

Robert started singing as a small boy in the Synagogue. He performed live at Walt Disney World and on NBC at age 10. He performed as Jason on ,”The Young and The Restless” and Robbie on, “The Knight Rider”, and recorded at Motown Studios in Los Angeles during that period of time. He has performed live for audiences throughout the world. I have always been told I, ” Sing From The Heart”.

Talk to us more about your latest release

My Music spans several decades. The Opening Song on the Album was written for a girl dying of Cancer. “Dream With Me”, has idealistic, triumphant, soaring vocals and instrumentals, creating a dramatic, melodic, symphonic, easy listening experience. The song, ” together Forever You and I’ was completed most recently with recordings done in Venice, Florida at Island Studios. My favorite track on the Album, Heart Bridges, is, ” The Kindness Song”.

What inspired you to write this release?

This was the culmination of a series of Love Songs. My wife inspired me. Specifically for, ” Together, Forever, You and I”.

Describe the writing and recording process

The recordings were done in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami, and Venice, Florida. The process has always been enjoyable for me. To be able to express myself in music gives me much satisfaction. I enjoy the writing and performing. My songs come from real life experiences. I believe that caring and sharing is what it is all about. We all start off alone but nurturing relationships allows us to bring love into our lives.

My music is fresh, sweet, and full of passion. The lyrics are clean and about love and caring for others.
