‘Reset to Factory Specs’ was crowdfunded by a successful Kickstarter (from May 10 to June 2), raising just over $9K CAD. The new album marks yet another collaboration between Hudson and Argentiero, who first met through an online songwriting challenge 12 years ago. The duo previously collaborated on Hudson’s EP “Pianoless” as well as Argentiero’s EP “Hurtful Nothings”.

“I think, looking back, I was trying to understand what it meant to be a woman. I was AFAB (assigned female at birth) and raised to believe in a binary, Baptist, black and white worldview. At 20 I left Christianity behind. At 34 I was diagnosed as autistic. Now at 45 I’ve made an album about being non-binary,” comments Leslie Hudson on their milestone life experiences.

Glendale, AZ — This album was originally a demo album titled “Where Were You 2021” and it was released on SoundCloud in August 2020 before the release of the official debut album titled “Melrose”. “Where Were You 2021” has been revamped as a follow-up to “Melrose” and has been re-titled after a favorite color, green. The album has 11 tracks, including three new songs- “Eighteen”, “Medicine” and “Killer in a Dress”, and the 2019 demo recording of Green `s lead single, “Trell and Al”. The entire record has been described as a “prequel to Melrose”.

Some LGBTQ people likes the album because there are some tracks that they could relate to, like the dance-inspired track “I Wanna Kiss A Guy” and the jazz-influenced track, “Everyday Love”. The favorite track off the album is “Killer in a Dress” because it pays homage to Michael Jackson`s 1988 single “Smooth Criminal”. They can find the new album on YouTube, Bandcamp, and Audiomack. The album will be released on Bandcamp December 18, 2021.

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – July 26th, 2021 – Despite being one of the very few gay black American Blues and Rock singers, Little Herbert is one of the most beloved up-and-coming gay artists particularly because of his involvement with music since 1985. He founded a rock label in the mid-1980s and has lived a life of many ups and downs – most of his experiencing translate into his lyricism. Life threw a lot at Little Herbert – he was homeless for many years; he was jailed with The L.A. Freeway killers for a victimless misdemeanour and alleged male prostitution ( a set-up by the LAPD using a handsome male decoy, in much the same way as George Michael was snared ).

Along the way, many people tried to warn him that his blackness and his sexuality will be a hindrance in his pursuit of musical brilliance, but he turned a deaf ear towards everyone, including his own father, who he thought would kill him because of his sexuality.

Born in Florida, raised in upstate New York, Little Herbert moved to New York City and started a rock record label called Cheektowaga Records in 1985. His incredible and heart-wrenching stories came to life in both the forefront and the margins of his first-ever EP “A Complicated Man” – because that is what Little Herbert essentially is. Even his approach to blues is complicated – he combines and mixes incredible players with non-traditional elements to thrillingly obscure the enigma at the heart of his music. Little Herbert has lived a long life of hardship and challenges. Being one of the handfuls of black gay artists out there, Little Herbert has endured it all: racial discrimination, discrimination based on his sexuality, abuse and even death threats. Australian record producer Netanya surprises listeners with new single “King of My Castle”, the second single of the upcoming album ‘With You.’

Adelaide, South Australia – 16 July 2021 – Music can often express inexpressible things. It is especially true when we talk about Netanya and his infectious beats with somber lyrics. He is all set to release an original song titled “King of My Castle” in July 16th 2021. The highly anticipated single follows ‘Cloud 9’, which was heard on Kiss 104.7FM in Atlanta, Georgia.

Sonically inspired by the works of dance-pop acts including Cascada, Jonas Blue, and Kygo, “King of My Castle” is the second single from Netanya’s upcoming studio album titled ‘With You’. With uncredited vocals by Liel Bar-Z, “King of My Castle” is a midtempo dance-pop song about the magic of falling in love with someone you know and wanting them to feel the same way about you. The 15-track album is heading towards its completion, with Netanya working on it by himself day and night, while also going to university. With an extensive discography on over 40 digital download and streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music, he has accumulated over 2 million streams as his musical style evolved from progressive house to future bass, trap and dance-pop genres.

Drew Patrick is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, who is driven to take the Pop and Electronic world by storm. Moving to LA at the age of 14 to pursue a career in acting, the artist devoted several years to acting endeavors in television shows like “Unusual Suspects” and independent films like “Detained in the Desert” and “Tao of Simon”. However, feeling that his passion for storytelling requires a new avenue, the artist began writing and recording original songs at the age of 16. Helsinki, Finland – May 6th, 2021 – Despite significant strides of progress by feminist and LGBTQIA+ activist communities, being a lesbian is a difficult yet momentous ordeal for women. It is especially tough being a homosexual in Kenya, one of Africa’s largest countries, and it’s punishable by law, for over 14 years in jail. But neither the odds nor the social norms deter Grammo Suspect-Rainbow Ambassador Kenya, who is on a determined mission to fight homophobia and spread the message of diversity to her audience, and the world at large, using her music. Her new album, titled ‘EMBRACE DIVERSITY’ is exactly what she hopes fans take away from her music. It is an album that strictly focuses on matters pertinent to the LGBTQIA+ community in Kenya, Africa, and the world at large.

‘EMBRACE DIVERSITY’ was inspired by her daily life and her struggles as a person trying to challenge the pervasive heteronormative norms of Africa. She has unfortunately been the subject of vehement abuse because of her physical appearance, dress code, and sexual orientation, and the perpetrators of physical and sexual assault left no stone unturned in dehumanizing her. Coming out of the closet was detrimental to her musical career as producers refused to work with her and she was refused access to music studios by homophobic managers. Mainstream media stopped playing her music and for the past 8 years, she has not been able to secure any event to perform in Kenya, just because of her sexual orientation. Her new and compelling album ‘EMBRACE DIVERSITY’ was released on May 17th, 2020, and it is a brilliant response to the homophobes that have bothered her throughout her entire life because the poignant lyricism coupled with stunning vocals and harmonious instrumentals make sure that we listen to her message on repeat.

Grammo Suspect-Rainbow Ambassador Kenya also goes by another name Mtetezi wa Raia (Citizens Defender). She is a lyrical and pictorial activist who is using her art and craft to challenge the heteronormative norms prevalent in Kenya. She writes her music, and delivers it, in form of rap and spoken word poetry.

On pictorial activism, she takes both still and moving pictures, alongside her partner ( fiancee), whom she is dating, for almost 9 years now, they then post on social media, to show other LGBTQIA+ community, that they are not alone, that it is okay to be their true self because it’s normal, and, to also encourage them, to be proud of their sexuality. In 2012, after coming out as a lesbian she decided it was time she started doing music that would fight for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community, aiming to claim justice against discrimination, humiliation, and harassment they face on daily basis.
