Sankarshan Das was a formerly a popular singer-songwriter rooted in the countercultural era of the ’60s and the early ’70s who shared the stage with such musical greats as the Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead and who became an instant sensation on the University of Texas campus in 1970 with his daily concerts at the George Washington statue and his stint as the house musician for the Sattva vegetarian restaurant. He desired through his music to spark off a spiritual revolution for bringing perfect peace and happiness to the entire world.

In pursuit of that desire and his own spiritual perfection he underwent a period of deep prayer, soul-searching, and inquiry which eventually led him to the feet of one of the greatest spiritual masters in history, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, the Founder: Acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, (the same spiritual master who inspired George Harrison to write his mega-hit “My Sweet Lord.) who blessed him with perfect knowledge of the Absolute Truth and the formula how to successfully bring perfect peace and happiness to the entire world population.

My song “The Peace Formula” presents the perfect formula for world peace because it is based on ancient wisdom that was commonly known in the days of yore when our entire planet enjoyed unbroken peace for thousands of years.

What inspired you to write this release?

I’ve been blessed with the formula of how everyone on this planet can achieve unlimited happiness and how this planet can be transformed into a virtual Garden of Eden. Therefore I must get this message out to everyone for their benefit and the entire world’s benefit.

Describe the writing and recording process

For me, writing is a matter of tuning into the Divine Consciousness, the Supreme Person Who is the source of all existence.

Any plans to hit the road?

After the pandemic, whenever that will be.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

I am that singer/songwriter who can empower you to turn on the divine consciousness that is currently sleeping within you.
